Guests included boards of directors of Fedcap and ReServe, supporters, Fedcap’s Leadership Council, business partners, Fedcap home health aides, college and high school students, staff and volunteers.

The event honored Fedcap’s Leadership Council, a group of individuals who provide substantial support to our work, and also two inspiring ladies in our Home Care and ReServe READY programs.

Vietta Horton, pictured with her family on the left, a Fedcap Home Health Aide, received the Amalia Betanzos Distinguished Service Award for her outstanding service during Hurricane Sandy. A Fedcap Home Health Aide since 1994, Ms. Horton cared for her patient during and following Hurricane Sandy for six days and without electricity or running water. The Amalia Betanzos award was named for the late executive director of Wildcat Service Corporation, which combined with Fedcap in 2011.
